Hi! I'm Ammaar, a design leader and creator based in New York City. Check out my work below and get to know me a bit through this little site!
At Brex, I co-created our first spend management offering for startups and small businesses, and later the complete revamp of our platform for enterprise customers. I currently lead several teams across Brex Empower.
As a design director, I take great pride in building teams that embrace a "show don't tell" mentality—in my opinion, design is what you ship and creating teams that take that momentum forward, experiment with their ideas by putting them out there and learning from them, are the ones that can really drive successful outcomes.
At Palantir, I worked on complex product design challenges for some of the world's most critical institutions. Later, I transitioned to product management, allowing me to expand my skillset and gain a comprehensive appreciation for design proficiency, product strategy and vision, business requirements, and customer pain points.
Creations with generative artificial intelligence
The last time I was this excited about the potential of technology was when the iPhone first made its debut in 2007. It completely changed how we engage with our world today and I see similar potential with the artificial intelligence tools emerging.
Storytelling and film are my passions, and these tools have enabled me to express my ideas in ways I never thought possible.
Using generative AI, I published a children's book for my closest friends, created an animated short featuring one of my favorite superheroes, and I am excited to see when inspiration strikes again for my next creation.
My AI-generated work has received worldwide media coverage:

One weekend I decided to see if I could combine all of the amazing AI tools out there and publish a book. I used ChatGPT to help write and refine it, and MidJourney to illustrate it. And 72 hours later, it was live on Amazon! The project was intended as a demonstration of the technology and a gift to the first borns of my two of my best friends. It inadvertently sparked an incredibly important debate about the much needed protections for artists with the advent of these new AI tools.

Work at a startup of your choice and live in London for free—this was an ambitious goal, but Ben Chin and I were frustrated by the lack of startups and tech companies coming to campus while we were in college. We set out to create the internship program of our dreams with Index Ventures.
